California's state government is a complex organization with four distinct branches: the legislative, judicial, and executive. The legislative branch, comprised by the State Assembly and Senate, is responsible for creating laws. The executive branch, governed by the Governor, administers state agencies. Finally, the judicial branch, composed by the
